A common requirement is to sell a miscellaneous item to a customer. It is a very simple process in Prima.

  • Create the Stock Code as normal in Prima (here's how), call the code something easily remembered such as MISC or STAMP etc.

  • When adding a New Vendor to the miscellaneous code, make sure the tick box at the bottom of the screen called 'Templated Item?' is checked. This must be done for each vendor in the list for the Templated Item to work correctly.

Templated items all end up on the Requirements List with the same description. However, when they are placed on the Purchase Order, they will bring back the description from the Sales Order.

To help with choosing the right vendor when on the buying list, you can enter in the Buying Notes field on the Sales Line Details. This will show up on the Requisition. So you enter something like 'buy from SPR' as a prompt.
