To ensure you are able to import a catalog through Prima, you should first check that the user is set up with the correct permissions to do this.

If you go to the User section within Administration, click on the user you want to set the permissions for, and make sure the box is checked for Allow User to Import Publication.

When you log into Prima, if there are new publications to be imported the speech bubble symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of Prima will be colored in orange. 

Note- it is best to do this either in the morning or evening as it may cause the system to temporarily not respond.

Click the notification icon, where you will then be shown which publications are available to be imported. Tick which you would like to import, where you will then be shown information in the box at the bottom on what updates have been applied to the publication. Click Apply once you have checked this.


Once this is complete, we then suggest you complete an optional update by doing the following:

  • Go to Publications grid manager
  • Search for your preferred supplier (vendor)
  • Click the Change tab
  • Tick Update Linked Prod Code, Desc, Image, Pack, Size
