To set this up go to the Google Analytics website to set up an account with google, once this is set up go to Control Panel > System > Settings > 3rd Party > Enter your Google Analytics Code and Google Site Verification Code (these will show on your Google account). Once this is set up in your Google Analytics account you can see how many users are active on your site, the active pages & the locations where your users are from.
