View and edit all customer facing reports.
Loggin in:
- Open Prima > select Report Designer from the drop down > enter your credentials > login
When editing any report, it is best to create a copy of the report first - in case you want to revert to the original layout.
Creating a copy:
- Find the report you'd like to edit in modules on the left
- Click on the report
- At the bottom left of the screen, edit the name of the report to be something else > then hit create copy
Editing Reports in Report Designer
- Double click the copy of the report you just made > this will open it in edit view
Inserting Sections:
- Sections on the left allow you to insert text boxes, images, etc.
- Can also copy these from another report by dragging to select > copy > paste in new copy of report.
- If fields are blank after copying, it is because the report you copied from does not have the same data fields
Images:
- Add a picture using tInhe section insert on the left OR
- Edit an existing image by click on the image > on the right in properties scroll to 'data' > click '...' next to image to open file explorer > add your new image
- Can stretch or zoom to fill image in layout under properties
Fonts:
- Add text box using section insert on left OR
- Click existing text - on the right in properties you can edit the font, size, color, etc.
- Double click the text to type and edit
Colors:
- For background or font colors you will need a hexcode - there are some standard ones in the dropdown in properties.
- Can also use Chrome addon called colorpick to get hexcodes from the web
Visibility:
- Visibility under behaviors can be set to False if you’d like to hide something – also if something isn’t showing on the report, this could be why.
Data Fields:
- Data fields pull in information from Prima Client
- If there are any questions on what some of these are, give us a call!
Footer:
- Where OWN company info is displayed
- To edit this > in client search for company acc code 'own' > data pulls from HQ location - email, phone, address, etc.
Sub Reports:
- Bottom left of screen > expand the main report to view sub reports > must open sub report to edit data fields within
Preview / Save and Close:
- Click the preview tab at the top of the screen to see an example of what the report will look like > go back to edit tab to save and close at the top.
Assigning Report to Companies:
- In Prima Client you can set this report against one company as it's default, or change several companies en masse using the company grid manager.
