In this article we will look at the processes you need to follow in order to switch a webstore over to a new search platform.


In Prima Client you need to ensure the following;


  • That the new Webstore Control Company (eg WSCONTROL2) has correct catalogs assigned in product & pricing tab

(and add the etilize/essendant key if required).



  • Make all catalog items & products available on web if changing to prima search.  This can be done in the publications grid manager.


  • If changing to SP or Essendant search will need to make any non SP/Essendant items 'Custom Products' individually or using the product grid manager (call Customer Care for assistance).



  • Set the catalog headers to yes or no for 'new items available on web.


  • Point all companies to the new Webstore  WSCONTROL2 in company grid manager (associate dropdown)


 

In the PrimaGO control panel you need to ensure the following is completed;


  • Repoint the store to correct WSCONTROL company in System >Webstore



  • Check your Categories are on by going to Data> All Categories, you can use the toggle button to turn a category on or off.

 


You must then Check the EDC starts sending web lists - call Customer Care if any errors show on the EDC


After the web lists have synced, check that you can search for items that are on the new search type, for example Essendant & SPR items if you are on the Prima Search.


Finally check that the 'Shop by Category' and navigation bar looks correct.
