This guide is designed to help you create, manage, and understand the different types of Orderpads available in the Prima applications. There are four types of Orderpads, each designed to minimize maintenance while meeting system and user needs:

  • Favorites
  • Shared Orderpads
  • Dealer Orderpads
  • Dealer Exclusion Orderpads

Favorites Lists

This is a personalized list of products unique to a User. Only one Favorites List is allowed per user. All products in this list will appear online regardless of web settings.

Users can add products to their Favorites List directly through their Webstore login.

Shared Orderpads

A Shared Orderpad is a product list that is unique to a company and can be accessed by all users within that company. There is no limit to the number of Shared Orderpads that can be created, allowing for different types of lists to suit various needs. All products in these lists will appear online, regardless of web settings.

To edit Shared Orderpads, users must have the appropriate permissions setup, as below:

Dealer Orderpad

Dealer Orderpads are created at the dealer level only using your OWN Company and can be shared across multiple customers by selecting and adding them to the Dealer Orderpad. Users cannot edit these Order Pads. They are designed to allow one list to be setup and shared across a group of companies perhaps in one industry, e.g. Education.

To Create a Dealer Order Pad, select New Record / Order Pad, then enter OWN to select your own company and click the CREATE button.

Dealer Exclusion Orderpads

A Dealer Exclusion Orderpad is used to prevent selected products from appearing online for specific customers. You can create as many of these exclusion lists as needed. This is especially useful if perhaps you want to exclude certain furniture lines from a group of customers while keeping them available for others.

Currently, these can only be added line by line by you, the Dealer. Customers must also be added one at a time.

To Create a Dealer Exclusion Orderpad, select New Record / Orderpad, then enter OWN to select your own company and click the CREATE button.

We are considering enhancements to improve flexibility and usability of Dealer Orderpads and Dealer Exclusion Orderpads, including:

  • The ability to import product lines into a Dealer Orderpad;
  • The option to select and share Dealer Orderpads with groups of customers instead of adding them individually;
  • The ability to exclude products by group, such as at the nominal group level.

EDI

All Order Pads are updated through the EDI, so it is essential that the EDI is running at all times to ensure accurate and timely updates.

Occasionally, a User may see an orderpad marked as “updating” in their lists of Orderpads. This simply means that a product has recently been added, updated or removed from the list and the change is being processed.
