The vendor catalogue holds the latest pack sizes, so if they have changed the pack size in a catalogue release then Prima needs to be amended to accommodate this change. You need to amend the product unit and pricing to match the new pack size in the catalogue ie change the Default unit in the Product Record and add the new unit to the Product unit and pricing and delete the previous one.
If you cannot delete a pack size, it could be because the item is still being processed through the system so these need to be pushed through or removed from the sales order for it to be deleted. If the item is on a customer contract then this item has to be updated to accommodate the change also.
The catalogue will hold the latest pack size from the vendor so change the product unit and pricing to match the catalogue.
- Check the pack size in the supplier catalogue.
- From within the catalogue, link to the stock code by clicking the Product Details button
- Change the Default Unit to the new pack size
- Click on to Product Unit/Pricing. Add the new pack size and enter the pricing
- Delete the previous pack size from Product Unit / Pricing
Please note: If it is an each and you are going to split the item down, then you can leave the each. If you don’t then you can delete it. Also check to see if any other vendors provide this pack size before you delete it. If another vendor holds this pack size then do not delete this pack size as you will require this if you want to purchase from another vendor. To check this, click the Supplier button from within the stock code and check the Supplier information. The vendor tab should only hold the pack size that the vendor states in their catalogue file.
