To discontinue products no longer in a catalog

  1. Select Stock and Product Main Grid Manger
  2. Under Supplier Available select No
  3. Under Is PG Number +ve/-ve? select Positive PGNumber
  4. Click Search
  5. In the Results tab highlight and click Remove Selected Records for any products not to be discontinued ie own codes
  6. Click on the Change tab
  7. Tick Update Product Status to
  8. Select Discontinue
  9. Click Apply

Note: Discontinuing products adds a DIS in front of the code and moves the product to a discontinued status.

If the product is in a customer contract, the item remains in the contract but has DIS in front of the code and cannot be added to a sales order.  The customer contract needs to be reviewed and the DIS code either deleted or replaced with an alternative item.
